so it is just one of those nights where i can't sleep. maybe it is fron basically sleeping wednesday through to sunday. the flu will do that to you. good news is i am feeling better so that is good. i have so much work to do that i obviously couldn't do this weekend but i will just make up for it this week. it is mostly packing and such. i am really coming down to my last leg to pack and i still have probably 1/3 of the work left to go. my plans for the last 1/3 basically break down to 8 steps and then it is on to loading the suvs and then the moving truck and then the unpacking. however the unpacking is goign to be so much more fun then packing. i am so excited to get into our new place and start to make it ours. i know time will fly by once we get to this point.
another thing that really has been bothering me is just how people are about this deployment. it is so hard when people put it in your face about how often they get to hear from their marine. and even harder when people complain when its been 3 days since their last phone call. i just dont know what to say to that. john basically works 24 hours a day. he doesnt do the 8 hour shifts that some guys have gotten. his job is demanding and he is the only one who can do it which is why he gets to work 40 hours in a row or sleep at work because there isnt even time for him to go back to the tent. i am so proud of him and when other marines tell me how hard he is working it just proves my pride for him. i understand how this all works and i know that he is not not calling because he doesnt want to talk to me but rather he just cant and anytime he tries, the phones wont work. it just sucks tho when i have to listen to other people complain when i have to sit there and i have only heard my husband's voice once sine july. it breaks my heart but at the same time i just thnk of how proud i am of him and how lucky i am to have someone so special to miss. soon enough i will be standing in that hanger and i will get to see him. that moment is going to be amazing and i know i am going to cry haha. i am hoping that his other letter he mailed comes soon because it really should have been here by now. oh well maybe tomorrow.
basically my life is just school, army, and packing. everything is going well and i am mostly in a positive mood all the time. most days are good and i really can't complain. i am just so excited to move and then for homecoming. this week should be good. i guess i am goign to try this sleep thing again. not that anyone really reads this but if anyone does i hope you are doing well and having a good day or night.

So excited!
Today has been such a good day. I have gotten some wonderful e-mails from John today and yesterday so that has been amazing!
This morning I went to Macy's and bought us a wonderful food processor and crock pot. They had such great sales and I also got a military discount. I saved over $100 so I was really pleased with that. I made a registry there too, but there is hardly anything on it. All of our registry is at Bed Bath and Beyond. But it was still fun to walk around with that scanner thing.
After that I did more couch shopping and I think I found our couch and love seat! I am sooooo excited about it because its so nice and its perfect. I just need to wait to hear back from John to see if he wants me to get it now or wait until he is home. I thought we were going to pick it all out together but he has sorta changed his mind on that one and I think wants everything ready for him when he gets home. Either way is fine with me, I just want him to be happy. We have talked about the couch and stuff a little bit and I know that he would be happy with the ones I found but I still need to get his ok before I move forward. Hopefully I will hear back from him soon.
Tonight is going to be great too! We are having a girls night at Christina's house and that should be a lot of fun. I am going to just relax for the night hour until I need to leave. Those hours of relaxation this point forward are going to be few and far between but hopefully that will make the next 3 months go by fast!!!!!!

Cincinnati
I am in Cincinnati visiting my "new" family. John's parents and sisters are really awesome and I am so happy that I have them in my life now. I am having a really nice time but it is a little sad being here without John. I loved getting a tour and seeing where he used to play soccer and went to school but I wish he was here. I am really having a nice time though just hanging out with my in-laws and my sister-in-law. I am excited for Christmas when we all can be together again!
Today is the 13th so that means we have been married another month! I have not heard John's voice since last month so it would be amazing if he could call today but I highly doubt that will happen. Communications have been like none existent in the last 2 weeks. I have gotten a few short e-mails but not more than like 5 I think. He has been working 30 + hour shifts and hardly getting sleep. He wrote me one e-mail that made me cry about how he can handle the work but that he couldn't handle not being bale to talk to me. I really miss him. There is no way to explain it to anyone who hasn't done this before. I do think that it is so important and helpful that I have so many wonderful people to talk to and get support from. I am also so thrilled that school starts up on the 24th because then I will be super busy.
Work is going really well. I would like to let everyone know though if you have been charged with attempted murder, you cannot join the army. There have been some sketchy kids in our office lately.
I had Skyline yesterday and somehow figured out how to order slash sit slash everything all on my own. I also got to see my lil buckeye! It was so nice to see her because it has been like forever.
We are getting ready to head out but I figured I should probably do this plus I wanted to say my own happy anniversary to us without making it all public and out there. My mom is so cute though because she sends me a text message on every 13th since John is not home. I love my momma...Anyway, today should be a nice day.
Time to go do the hair, maybe...
